Superleague team secures playoff spot
For the second year running, the Superleague team has finished in 3rd position in the Northern Conference which secures a spot in the playoffs. This looked somewhat unlikely after 5 games of the season but the coaching staff and players deserve enormous credit for putting together a run which has seen them lose only once in the league (to UCC Demons) and serious contenders to do some damage in the playoffs. Star go to an ever improving Neptune team in the quarter final and, having already beaten them twice this season, know that they have the talent to win. However, they got to go and do it in the playoffs!
