Superleague tip off this weekend
The wait is over - Superleague 2009/10 tips off this weekend with an away tie at Ulster Elks, tip off 3pm in UUJ. A big crowd is expected to turn out in Sports Hall 1 on Sunday afternoon to see who can gain the upper hand early in the season.
UUJ have recruited heavily in the off season and signed another three Dublin players and Maryland graduate Dave Neal. UUJ have struggled in their first two seasons but should be competing for the title with this roster.
Star continue to develop home grown talent and will be introducing another 3 or 4 young players into the roster this year. Losing Chris Butler is a big blow but we wish him well with his new team in France. Kev Foley has signed for Elks as he is doing a Masters in UUJ so Star will be losing some physical presence. Hopefully the team can cope with this and play some exciting basketball this year!
