Superleague team push for the playoffs!
2 games left and it's in our own hands. A return to the playoffs for the first time in 4 years is within touching distance but won't be easy. It might well come down to next week's clash in the National Basketball Arena in a head to head match up against Hoops. It's somewhat ironic that 10 years ago the same two teams were battling it out for the Superleague title, a clash that Star won to clinch their first league title.
At St.Vincent's is always tough but Coach O'Neill's young side has matured over the season and can't be written off. It would be a fantastic achievement to make the playoffs. The team will once again be looking for contributions from the whole squad, Rob McMurrin, Stephen Dawson, Chris Smye, Ciaran McVeigh, Euge, as well as professional Matt Clement and Jerry Cheves. Paddy Mullan has also stepped up in recent weeks and it is going to take a super performance this weekend to come out of Dublin with a win.
